Author Landvik coming to Borders
Lorna Landvik will read from her new release, "'Tis the Season" Sunday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. at Borders Woodbury, 8472 Tamarack Bay.
Following the reading, she will autograph copies of her new book.
Landvik is the author of the bestselling novels "Patty Jane's House of Curl," "Your Oasis on Flame Lake" and "The Tall Pine Polka."
She is also an actor and playwright.

Try a variety of fun products and receive assistance as you create your own scrapbook page. Simply bring eight to ten photos of any event.

Zumbro House, Inc. opens office
Zumbro House, Inc., which deals with group homes for the mentally disabled, has moved its administrative offices from Rochester to Woodbury.
The office, which opened for business Sept. 1, is located at 1103 Weir Drive.

Credit union hosts open house
United Educators Credit Union (UECU ) celebrated the completion of its Woodbury office renovation by hosting a fall open house and food drive on Oct. 30.
Credit union staffers and members collected 148 pounds of food and $115.
The Woodbury office for United Educators Credit Union, 6789 Upper Afton Road, received an "extreme makeover" which started in May. It was concluded in mid-October.
The existing Woodbury branch was remodeled to better serve its members, increase staff efficiency and accommodate its overall growth.
One of the office's new additions is an automated coin counter. It is open to the public and free for UECU members.
The renovation celebration hosted an open house at their three office locations -- Woodbury, Eden Prairie and Columbia Heights.
Food and money from credit union members and staff were donated to Second Harvest Heartland, the upper midwest's largest hunger relief organization.

Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo has been chosen as the "best-rated veterinarian" by Twin Cities Consumer's Checkbook, a non-profit consumer information resource which rates businesses throughout the Twin Cities.

Earlier this fall, the clinic was again certified by the American Animal Hospital Association, an industry organization that reviews professional practices. Less than 17 percent of small animal practices are accredited by AAHA.
