Plant Place coming to Woodbury via plan to fill Linder's void

An Elk River-based nursery is looking to fill a gap left by a longtime metro nursery business.

Plant Place announced March 25 that it will expand its operation by adding 13 new locations, including one in Woodbury. Plant Place is moving into locations previously occupied by Linders Garden Center, which announced last year that it was closing.

The family-owned Plant Place is looking to seize on the spring garden market and is opening the new locations in April and early May, according to a news release.

Plant Place is working in partnership with Roundy’s Co., which owns and operates the Rainbow Foods grocery chain, among others.

The Woodbury location will be at Rainbow Foods on Valley Creek Plaza.
