Rosemount High School graduate killed in Afghanistan
A 31-year-old Rosemount man has died while serving in Afghanistan.
The United States Department of Defense announced Monday that Spec. Andrew C. Wilfahrt died Feb. 27 in Kandahar Province. He was injured when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device.
Wilfahrt was a 1997 graduate of Rosemount High School.
Wilfahrt was assigned to the 504th Military Police Batallion, 8th Military Police Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
