Student achievements

The following information has been received from university or family sources.

- The Henry Luce Foundation has named Blair Benham-Pyle one of eighteen Luce Scholars for 2010-2011.

Her selection, according to the Foundation, concludes a rigorous interview process that began in November 2009, with the nomination of 159 candidates by 65 colleges and universities.

She will receive intensive summer language training in her Asian placement country, following orientation in New York and San Francisco in late June.

Benham-Pyle, a Woodbury native and 2006 graduate of Mounds Park Academy, is in her final year as a molecular biophysics and biochemistry major at Yale University and expects to earn her joint BS/MS degree in May.

- Adam Hanson from Woodbury, is interning this spring with The Office of Governor Tim Pawlenty in Saint Paul. He will be serving as a communications intern. Hanson is majoring in political science at Hamline University.

- Tyler Henrichs of Woodbury has been named to the Augsburg College, Minneapolis Dean's List for fall semester 2009. To qualify, a student must be full-time and earn a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. Henrichs is a finance and business major.
