Learn about time bank programs in the Twin Cities area and the variety of services they offer members.
Time bank programs, including Community Thread's "Neighborhood Service Exchange," are found in many cities throughout the United States and other countries.
According to Cathy Dyball, program manager of the service exchange, "For each hour of service that members offer each other, they can receive a service in return.
"Popular services that are shared include cooking, childcare, computer help, gardening, minor home repairs, sewing, transportation, and tutoring. Time banking is a wonderful way to meet other people in your community and share your skills and talents at the same time."
Community Thread is a non-profit human service agency.
