SE Area YMCA to host 'Healthy Kids Day'
The Southeast Area YMCA, 2175 Radio Drive in Woodbury, will host "YMCA Healthy Kids Day" on Sunday, April 19.
This day is designed to celebrate healthy living, encourage kids and families to get excited about physical fun and activity and -- most importantly -- just play.
This event will include a community open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southeast Area YMCA.
All members of the community are welcome to have fun at the YMCA and use its facilities for free. A photo I.D. is required.
Check online for schedules at ymcatwincities.org.
"Healthy Kids Day" will be celebrated with organized special events from 1 to 3 p.m.
Events will include swim assessments with a YMCA swim instructor, family fitness class samplers, open swim, gym games and more.
The YMCA will also provide healthy tips and recipes for families to use everyday, healthy snacks and fun giveaways throughout the day.
A special summer camp sign up will also be part of Healthy Kids Day.
Bring a friend to sign up for day camp, "Uproar," summer sports or summer preschool. You and your friend will receive 10 percent off your registrations.
