Woodbury Prayer Breakfast going green

Like most of the businesses and activities in town, the Woodbury Prayer Breakfast is working to become more environmentally conscious with regard to ticket sales and information processing.

All tickets and sponsorships can now be purchased online at

In addition, the Prayer Breakfast Connection (PBC) has been developed to communicate with those who would like more information or want to get connected to the faith community in Woodbury.

"It's a great way to get resources, submit prayer requests, volunteer or just stay connected with us year round," said Mary Stephens, prayer breakfast committee chair. "In addition to encouraging everyone to sign up to receive electronic prayer breakfast notifications, we also encourage individuals to visit the website to submit their specific prayer requests. Prayer breakfast committee members will be available to take action in prayer on your behalf."

All prayer requests will remain confidential.

This year's keynote speaker is Joe Senser, owner/operator of the Joe Senser's Sports Theatres and former tight-end for the Minnesota Vikings.

The morning will be filled with music, readings and testimonials from area leaders and dignitaries. Dave Clutter, long-time metro traffic announcer and local radio personality will be emcee. Woodbury Mayor Bill Hargis will offer traditional opening remarks.

The event's theme is "Seeking God's Direction Through Prayer."

Attendees will be treated to performances by soloists and a community choir accompanied by a full orchestra.

The prayer breakfast will be held 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the Prom Center (I-94 at Radio Drive/Inwood).

Individual tickets are $18.50 and tables of nine are $166.50. Business sponsorships are available starting at $400. Individual sponsorships start at $100. Both include various forms of sponsor recognition.
