'Anything Goes' at Lakeshore Players Theatre

Cole Porter's beloved musical comedy "Anything Goes" will take the stage at Lakeshore Players Theatre, 4820 Stewart Avenue, White Bear Lake starting April 24.

Set on the good ship S.S. American, Billy Crocker, a young love-sick Wall Street broker, stows away in hopes of winning the heart of his beloved Hope Harcourt.

"Anything Goes" introduced such classic songs as "You're the Top," "I Get a Kick Out of You" and, of course, the title song.

The play is directed by Richard Choate, with music direction by Karen Hillmann and choreography by Kim Martinez.

Cast members include Patrick Sheehy of Woodbury.

Audiences are invited to attend an opening night post-show reception April 24 to meet the actors.

Limited "pay what you can" tickets will be available at the door one hour prior to show time on Sunday, April 26 for the 2 p.m. show. Also that day, there will be a post-show discussion with the audience.

Performances will take place April 24 to May 24 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. There also be a performance on Thursday, May 21 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $18-$20 and may be reserved in advance by calling (651) 429-5674, with remaining seats sold at the door starting two hours prior to show time.
