Orphan train story memorialized in fabric

The Woodbury Senior Citizens group will meet in the Fellowship Hall of Woodbury United Methodist Church, 7465 Steepleview Road, Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 11:30 a.m. for a short business meeting, followed by a glazed chicken breast lunch.

Featured speaker Ann Zemke, quilt maker, storyteller, author and owner of Crocus Lane Quilts, will show the quilt she made that was inspired by the story of her grandmother, Marjorie Peterson, one of the abandoned children of the 1906 orphan train.

To make a reservation, mail your check for $10 per person, payable to Woodbury Senior Citizens, to Woodbury Senior Citizens, C/O 2290 Mailand Road, Maplewood, MN 55119 by Friday, Feb. 20.
