Try Lake Elmo Park trails by candlelight
On Friday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., the public is invited to come to Lake Elmo Park Reserve to ski freshly groomed trails or to hike a paved trail by candlelight.
Enjoy the warmth of a fire- heated trailhead ski shelter where hot beverages will be served. There will also be an outdoors bonfire that will serve as a great place to gather before hitting the trail.
The trails include a one-mile hiking trail and 2.5-miles of groomed cross country ski trails.
Lake Elmo Park Reserve is located at the intersection of County Road 19 and County Road 10 (one mile north of Interstate 94) in Lake Elmo.
This is a free program with a valid vehicle permit. A Minnesota ski pass is required for skiers and a one-day pass can be purchased for $5 at the park on Dec. 26.
