Walk and learn at Woodbury's Central Park
Adults ages 50 and better are invited to the fifth annual city of Woodbury Wisdom Walk Wednesday Oct. 29 at Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place. The cost is $5 per person and pre-registration is required.
The event will give participants, according to organizers, "a chance to exercise their brains, listen to riveting speakers, enjoy a delicious lunch with friends, explore the library and stroll indoors throughout Central Park gathering information and resources from local services."
Schedule of events for the walk include: 8:30 a.m. check-in and refreshments; 9 a.m., "Be Prepared: Emergency Preparedness for Seniors" with Christy Lee and Rachel Merkouris of Washington County Public Health and Environment; 10:15 a.m., "Yoga Stretch and Breathe," the YMCA; 10:45 a.m., "Nutrition for Brain Health" presented by Susan Moores, M.S.,R.D. and Linda Anderson, director of culinary promotions, Kowalski's Market; noon, lunch; 12:30 to 2 p.m., resource tables are open throughout the park.
