State settles for $850M in 3M lawsuit

Norman not going to Rosemount

Afton's interim administrator will not be moving to take up a new position at Rosemount City Council.

It emerged that Jim Norman, who has been the interim city administrator at Afton since the start of March, had been selected as one of five final candidates for the position of city administrator in Rosemount.

But city council members in Rosemount picked Dwight Johnson, a candidate with experience working in Shoreview and Plymouth around the Twin Cities, and Homer Glen, a Chicago suburb.

Around the same time, Afton City Council voted to extend the understanding with Norman in the position of interim administrator until at least the end of the year.
