MINNEAPOLIS—The University of Minnesota fired its head football coach on Tuesday, Jan. 3, multiple outlets are reporting in the Twin Cities.

Tracy Claeys, who came under fire during a recent team boycott before a bowl game, was scheduled to meet with athletic director Mark Coyle on Tuesday.

The Gophers beat Washington State a week ago in the Holiday Bowl.
