St. Paul Winter Carnival cast visits Woodbury

The 2013 St. Paul Winter Carnival Vulcan Krewe, including Vulcanus Rex, visited Woodview Terrace Montessori on Feb. 1. During their visit, the Vulcans left their signature "V" on the faces of students.

The St. Paul Winter Carnival found its way to Woodbury last week.

The carnival's Royal Family and the Vulcan Krewe visited with students and parents at Woodview Terrace Montessori School on Feb. 1.

The Royal Family includes: Boreas LXXVII, Aurora, Queen of Snows, Prime Minister, Titan, Prince of the North Wind, North Wind Princess, Euros, Prince of the East Wind, East Wind Princess, Zephyrus, Prince of the West Wind, West Wind Princess, Notos, Prince of the South Wind, South Wind Princess, Klondike Kate, Guard Captain, Guard Sergeant and the members of the Guard.

The Vulcan Krewe includes: Vulcanus Rex LXXV, Prince of Soot, Count of Ashes, Count Embrious, Grand Duke Fertilous, General Flameous, Duke of Klinker and Baron Hot Sparkus.

During their visit, the Royal Family held a coronation to crown junior princes, junior princesses, a junior Aurora, Queen of the Snows and a junior King Boreas.

The Vulcan Krewe also made an appearance at the Montessori school to introduce themselves and encourage children to be on their side in order to bring warmer weather.

Following the presentation, the Royal Family visited with children, handing out stickers, and Vulcan Krewe members left their signature "V" on their faces.
