New Year's Eve family celebration planned
Families with children ages 12 and under are invited to celebrate New Year's Eve in the Bielenberg Sports Center, 4125 Radio Drive, Woodbury, at the City of Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department family celebration Thursday, Dec. 31 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The event includes games, moonwalks, slides, an obstacle course, mini-golf, bingo, open ice skating, an exhibition by the Woodbury Skating Club and other activities. A door prize drawing will be held at 8:30 p.m. followed by the big countdown to 2010 at 8:45 p.m.
The cost is $8 per person for all attendees ages 2 and up. Early registration is advised since this event usually sells out. The event is limited to the first 600 people and tickets are non-refundable. Tickets purchased by Friday, Dec. 18 will be entered into a special drawing.
If tickets are still available Dec. 31, they will be available for $10 each, at the door after 5 p.m. Skate rental and concessions are available at an additional charge.
