Hundreds of people came out last weekend, Aug. 28-30, to enjoy all of the fun festivities during Woodbury Days.

Woodbury Days offered fun entertainment for everyone of all ages, whether it was the family fun at the carnival, making friends with some animals at the petting zoo, visiting the many community businesses at the business fair, playing a few hands in the bingo tent, enjoying the parade, or even just relaxing on the grass with some delicious food from the Taste of Woodbury.

One of the biggest draws at Woodbury Days is the live entertainment, and festival mainstays Boogie Wonderland and the Dweebs fulfilled those expectations on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively.

Whereas at some community festivals, attendants simply walk around with the music in the background, at Woodbury Days a vast majority of people made a point to get out their blankets and chairs to watch the band. During both bands' the dance floor was full of kids and adults alike enjoying the music and fun.

The Pitmon family, Spence, Melissa, Blake and Erin, make a point to come out to Woodbury Days every year -- Friday at 4 p.m.

"It's fun to get the kids out," Melissa said.

Some of the highlights for the Pitmon family is being able to walk through the business fair and talk with many of the community business people, as well as enjoying the variety of delicious food during the Taste of Woodbury.

"For us, Woodbury Days is even more fun than the Minnesota State Fair," Spence said.
