Woodwinds' free seminars for parents
Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury has two upcoming seminars geared for parents.
The seminars are free, but participants need to register.
What to expect at the ER: Monday, Oct. 13, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Woodwinds Health Campus in the Auditorium, 1925 Woodwinds Drive, Woodbury.
Speakers will include Robert A. Sicoli, MD, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Lead Physician at Woodwinds and Amy Wynia, Child Life Specialist, Woodwinds Child Life.
Why does it seem like you have to wait so long to get your turn?

He will focus on knowing when to seek emergency care versus when to go to your family physician.
A Woodwinds' Child Life specialist will discuss way to help with your child's fear and anxiety while in the ER.
What does wellness mean for your child?: Thursday, Nov. 6, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Woodwinds Health Campus in the Auditorium.
Beth Dierkhising, RD, LD, certified personal trainer, Woodwinds Ways to Wellness, will be a speaker.
Learn how you can encourage your child to be more active and on the move with less "screen-time."
A registered dietician/certified personal trainer will discuss how to incorporate fun activity and healthy and delicious food into your family's daily life. She will also discuss how to set goals as a family that focus on making healthy decisions that will last a lifetime.
