The University of Minnesota Raptor Center stopped by Royal Oaks Elementary on Sept. 22. During two separate presentations, a representative from the Raptor Center discussed with the students what makes raptors unique from other birds and what the Raptor Center does.

Additionally, the differences between individual raptors were also discussed with the help of some live birds – a red tailed hawk, an American kestrel and a great horned owl.
