GB Leighton, Dweebs return to rock the house at Woodbury Days

He was a hit last year, so why not bring him back?

This year’s Woodbury Days Friday entertainment will feature GB Leighton, a Minnesota favorite that draws young couples and their families to the Woodbury Lions Band Shell.

From 7-10 p.m. Friday, GB Leighton will be entertaining audiences with music all ages can enjoy, Woodbury Days Council President Theresa Janechek said.

“He’s a pretty big name locally,” she said, noting that a lot of the demographics of Woodbury, those in their 30s and 40s, enjoy watching him at the event after seeing him perform at local bars in previous years.

“This is a chance to see him with their kids at a different stage of their lives,” she said. “He’s a really good fit for the crowds at the event.”

As for a broader audience, a favorite for a number of years has been The Dweebs band, who will continue their traditional Saturday night performance. Janecheck said many Woodbury Days goers plan their family weekend around the band – from reunions to picnics.

“It’s a really good fit for Saturday night along with the fireworks,” she said of their performance. The Dweebs start at 7 p.m. and play their last set following the fireworks show.
