To help prevent the spread of flu viruses to patients, visitors and health care workers during this year’s flu season, HealthEast Care System will be implementing visitor restrictions, hospital officials announced late last month.
A Fargo-based mental health care group that had plans to open a 60-bed in-patient facility for adolescents in Woodbury that stalled last year at the state Legislature, received approval from the House and the Senate over the last week for a scaled-down proposal to allow construction of a smaller facility in the west metro.

Fargo-based Prairie St. John’s wants to construct a psychiatric hospital in Woodbury, but cannot do so unless it gets approval from the Legislature. The proposed facility got one step closer Tuesday evening after a state House committee voted to support Prairie St. John’s in its endeavor.
