Afton: Richter WINS, NO charter in Afton
At 2:30 a.m., Afton City Council member was declared the winner over challenger Kuchen Meyer. Richter received 63.74 percent of vote, whereas Meyer generated 35.78 percent of the vote. In terms of the two questions facing Afton: "Should Afton adopt a charter?" and "Should the Afton Charter Commission be eliminated?" 70.05 percent of Afton resident voted "no" to the charter, whereas 67.95 percent voted "yes" to eliminating the Afton Charter Commission.November 03, 2010
