Letter to the editor: Let’s keep moving forward
The arguments for the marriage amendment are often misleading and disturbing. Typical is Kerry Navara’s letter (“Consider ramifications of a failed marriage amendment”) published in the Bulletin on Oct. 10. Yes, let’s consider them.

Letter to the editor: Can’t risk voting for Lillie
As we inch closer to Election Day on Nov. 6, I continue to be deeply troubled by the ethical lapses of Ted Lillie, the current Lake Elmo senator who moved to Woodbury in May to run for an open Senate seat. Lillie has a disturbing pattern of using taxpayer funds for political purposes, and the thought of him serving four more years in the Senate is a chilling prospect for Woodbury taxpayers.

Letter to the editor: Voter ID effort would create perpetual barrier to voting
For years, Minnesota has had one of the cleanest and best election systems in the country. The alleged voter fraud is not only an argument without merit, but will do little to minimize the miniscule amount of voter fraud. County attorneys throughout Minnesota say that 95 percent of all voter fraud happens when ex-felons vote before their probation period is completed.

Letter to the editor: Writer’s conclusions made a big leap
I don’t know how to respond to Kerry Navara’s scary letter on the “ramifications of a failed marriage amendment” except to say that I am sorry. I am sorry that he believes marriage equity could lead to a world where we would allow a father to marry his son or daughter. Really, that is quite a leap.
