NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION RATES FILED BY COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC ON OR ABOUT MARCH 1, 2012
The South Washington County Telecommunications Commission (the "Commission"), on behalf of its member cities of Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Newport, Grey Cloud Island Township and St. Paul Park, Minnesota, is currently conducting a proceeding on the FCC Form 1205 Comcast Cable Communications, LLC ("Comcast") filed on or about March 1, 2012. In its FCC Form 1205, Comcast is proposing maximum rates and charges for equipment and installations associated with the reception of basic cable service. Those equipment rates and installation charges are based on national, rather than local costs. To determine whether the calculated equipment rates comport with Federal Communications Commission rules and orders, the Commission has retained a financial expert to review the proposed equipment rates in Comcast's national Form 1205 filing.
