Fifth grade students at New Life Academy traveled to BizTown to try on some grown up jobs


BizTown houses a make believe community complete shops, a city hall, a newspaper and a radio station.

  • Many of the students who participated in BizTown put on their best duds to fully engross themselves in the business world.
  • Students worked in a variety of business - including the Discovery Store - where they were able to get a taste of what their future may hold.
  • Prior to BizTown students interviewed and applied for the various jobs that they could have.
  • One of the jobs that students were able to have in BizTown was the Cafe.
  • One of the most popular jobs in BizTown is that of the Radio Disney DJ.
  • While student may be selling gifts at the Gift Shop, they are also gaining the gifts of responsibility and understanding at BizTown.
  • While participating in BizTown students also learned the basics of banking - including making deposits, cashing checks, writing checks and shopping.
