  • Gilby's Street Department raced a bed in the March 17 downtown festivities.
  • Many people dress in all manner of green garb to help celebrate the occasion.
  • The Royal Credit Union team.
  • The River Falls Royal Ambassadors helped at the bed races but were stationed on the shady -- and colder -- side of the street in Veterans Park.
  • Each bed-racing team had to successfully toss a bean bag, sink a basketball and score at yard golf.
  • Whoops! One of the bed-racing team crashed into the side of this Jeep, one of several vehicles parked along the bed-racing route. The impact left a sizable dent and scratch on the vehicle. No racers or bystanders sustained serious injury.
  • Main Street filled with spectators from about Elm to Maple, where bed racers sped north up Main Street before turning on Maple and racing southward to end at Veterans Park.
