The 2011 North Star Regional FIRST Robotics Competition took place March 31to April 2 at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota. Woodbury High School, East Ridge High School and the Math Science Academy all competed in the competition.

  • This year’s game for the FIRST Robotics competition is Logo Motion, which is essentially a ring toss with robots.
  • The Math and Science Academy Fighting Calculators ranked fifth out of 60 teams at the end of the competition.
  • The East Ridge Ominous Raptors (ERRORS,) from East Ridge High School, ranked sixth out of 60 teams at the end of the competition.
  • The Woodbury High School Robo-sapians ranked 59th out of 60 at the end of the competition.
  • The Woodbury High School Robo-sapians make some last minute repairs to their robot.
  • During the competition, each team must control their robot remotely from the sidelines.
