The Minnesota Department of Transportation increased signage along entrance ramps to I-494, such as this one at Tamarack Road, where construction shortened the merging area, leading to an increase in car crashes earlier this summer, a MnDOT official said. Traffic along I-494 in Woodbury is expected to be worse next year when more detours are planned.
