Viewpoint: An open letter to ELCA churches in Woodbury

I encourage ELCA leaders in our community to seek out the wisdom of Jesus, and to ask themselves also, “are we not being hypocritical by preventing access to the clergy for gay and lesbian people while we currently support the ordination of women and divorced people, which technically are also violations of a ‘literal translation’ of the scripture?”
