TT C: You surely may be right that Ms. Novak was treated wrongly but I just, for example, cannot envision someone going into a court and saying: I was wronged by somebody, I won't say who, and they can't of course present their side; however, I want the jury to find for me. Ms. Novak - for whatever reason - presented her issue to the "court of public opinion" in that manner. And then you busily helped by blaming all sorts of people you don't like. (And by the way, I took two painful years of Latin myself - a very long time ago. Please do not feel a responsibility to "expand my world.")

dear thomas, There is no point to publicly crabbing about being mistreated by an organization if the "victim" (in their "discretion") doesn't even share which organization - other than she's using the paper for some personal vendetta against those who will read the letters and know what's behind them. If she really wanted to share her gripe with all of us - and maybe she has a legitimate one - then she owes readers more of the story. Until then, there are two sides (at least) to everything.

Neither Thomas St. Martin's letter, nor Susan Richardson’s Jan. 27 letter (“Volunteer was unfairly asked to leave organization”), names the organization in question. I, for one, would like to know the name of the organization, so I can check the veracity of the claims made in the letters. The claims may be accurate, but an opportunity to check the facts, and an opportunity for the leadership of the organization in question to respond, would certainly be appreciated.
