Voters didn't blink when the price tag of $110 million for a new high school was sent for their vote.I voted NO!! Many of those parents have kids out of district 833 and can see the increased property taxes due to the levies. Maybe next they will vote no.

The school board should use this money to pay down the bonds. Its great that they were able to complete everything under budget, but that doesn't mean that they should have free reign to spend it how they see fit. The voters approved the money for outline dpurposes and once those are completed any money should be returned. By allowing this "extra" money to be spent now we'll just set ourselves up for referendums in the future that are larger then needed in order to complete additional projects without having to go back for a vote.
