Hudson School board to consider more school options

The Hudson Board of Education has voted to add an additional two options to the three already under consideration to increase secondary school space in the district.

4th candidate for school board to be decided Tuesday

Two candidates were tied for the fourth position in the school board race following the primary on Tuesday. Jim Schrock and Matthew Kari each received 244 votes .

Superintendent gets $13,000 raise

By a vote of 6-1, the school board voted to raise Superintendent Mary Bowen-Eggebraaten's salary to $159,480. The new salary represents a 9 percent increase but is still 9 percent below the median salary of superintendents in the area.

The first symptoms Arlie Auch started experiencing last summer didn’t seem frightening at first. The 53-year-old elementary school teacher from Coon Rapids, Minn. began to limp, then had trouble walking, started to shuffle and fall and had overwhelming fatigue.

Glasbrenner to talk about wrongful conviction

Audrey Glasbrenner Edmunds, a former Pepper Fest queen, was tried and convicted of killing an infant in her care. “It Happened to Audrey” tells her story that led ultimately to her sentence being overturned. She will be at Chapter 2 Books on Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.

School board votes to raise district pay

By a vote of 3-2, the Board of Education voted to raise the salaries of a majority of Hudson School District employees to bring them closer to the median salary of other school districts of similar size across the state and in the Twin Cities metro area.
