NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION RATES FILED BY COMCAST CABLE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC ON OR ABOUT MARCH 1, 2012

The South Washington County Telecommunications Commission (the "Commission"), on behalf of its member cities of Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Newport, Grey Cloud Island Township and St. Paul Park, Minnesota, is currently conducting a proceeding on the FCC Form 1205 Comcast Cable Communications, LLC ("Comcast") filed on or about March 1, 2012. In its FCC Form 1205, Comcast is proposing maximum rates and charges for equipment and installations associated with the reception of basic cable service. Those equipment rates and installation charges are based on national, rather than local costs. To determine whether the calculated equipment rates comport with Federal Communications Commission rules and orders, the Commission has retained a financial expert to review the proposed equipment rates in Comcast's national Form 1205 filing.

As part of its ongoing rate proceeding, the Commission will hold a public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting on March 28, 2013. The public hearing will commence at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as individuals may be heard, in the Council Chambers at the City of Cottage Grove, which are located at 12800 Ravine Parkway South, Cottage Grove, Minnesota. The purpose of the Commission's public hearing is to permit interested persons to express their views on the equipment rates and installation charges calculated in Comcast's March 2012 Form 1205. Any comments furnished at the hearing will become part of the record in the Commission's proceeding, and may be considered by the Commission.
