Chinese New Year takes center stage at Woodbury school

Royal Oaks Elementary kids donned their Chinese costumes Friday, Feb. 15, to celebrate the most important holiday in Chinese culture.

The school, where Mandarin Chinese is taught, put on a program featuring students from various grades.

Parents packed the gym where students performed a lion dance, handkerchief dance, Taiji fan dance, umbrella dance and the 12 zodiac dance.
