East Ridge junior Oliver Kennedy helped the Raptors downhill team reach its first-ever state meet last week.
The East Ridge boys alpine ski team reached uncharted territory last week – and Oliver Kennedy was a big reason why.
The Raptors downhill team qualified for its first-ever state meet, taking second place at the Section 4AA championship at Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls. Kennedy, a junior, turned in the top time for East Ridge, taking 12th place overall in 1 minute, 3.29 seconds. He also qualified for state as an individual as well.
