The Woodbury girls hockey team’s season came to an end with a 5-4 loss to Rosemount in the play-in game of the Section 3AA tournament last Monday. Statistics from the game were not made available.
Woodbury, the ninth seed in the nine-seed section, finished the year 6-18-2 overall. Rosemount, the eighth seed, went on to give No. 1 seed Eagan a scare in the next round before eventually falling 5-4 in overtime.
The youthful Royals must now say good-bye to three seniors from this year’s roster – Caroline Joyce, Molly Burke and Lauren Cotroneo.
