WHS' Suggs records 1,000th career point

Renard Suggs hit a milestone on Tuesday.

The senior guard for Woodbury recorded his 1,000th point during the Royals’ 97-77 home win against Cretin-Derham Hall.

Suggs finished with 25 points in the game, enough to lead all scorers. He now joins his brother, Rickey Suggs Jr., in the Royals’ elite 1,000-point scoring club.

The Royals return to the court Friday for a home match-up against rival East Ridge. The Raptors won the first of the two regular-season cross-town games in December.
