A new obstetrics and gynecology practitioner is hoping to give patients the attention they deserve.
Dr. Jory Burroughs, lead physician at Crown OB-GYN, opened the practice last fall near Woodwinds Health Campus where he also delivers babies.
“I really wanted to change the way that medicine was practiced,” he said, “by giving patients sort of a more individualized time and attention.”
Burroughs said the clinic offers long appointment times as well as special evening and weekend times.
He added that he spends the entire labor time with each of his patients instead of showing up at the time of delivery.
“Really trying to do things different than most clinics operate,” he said.
Burroughs earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota.
He worked as a physician at Comprehensive Health Care for Women in Woodbury before he opened his own clinic at Generations Women’s Health Center in Shoreview.
