Police reports: Gas station meltdown, stolen snowblower, copper thefts, more ...

An Eden Prairie man reported Jan. 2 that a gas heater left at a construction site in the 10000 block of Knollwood Drive was stolen. Loss: $1,600.

Police assisted in executing an arrest warrant Jan. 3 on a man living in the 9900 block of Starlight Drive. The man was found with an unknown quantity of narcotics.

A Minneapolis man reported Jan. 3 that items left at a construction site at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity on Gateway Place were stolen. The stolen items included three 100-foot extension cords and sections of copper. It appeared a bolt cutter was used to cut out the copper. Loss: $2,350.

A Woodbury High School student reported Jan. 3 that her iPhone was stolen from a ceramics room at the school. She had left the phone in the room and it was gone when she went to look for it. Loss: $500.

Police responded Jan. 3 to the 3100 block of Frontier Drive for a report of gunshots heard. An officer on the scene said the noise could have come from either a .22-caliber gun or a nail gun. The officer said there was construction in the area.

Officials at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1975 St. John’s Drive, reported Jan. 4 that a snowblower was stolen from church property. Police determined a single suspect entred a detached garage by forcing open a service door and took the snowblower and two gas cans. The suspect’s footprints were located. Loss: $400.

Police were called Jan. 4 to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity on Gateway Place for a theft report. A site supervisor reported 20 feet of copper gas tubing was stolen from four construction sites. Loss: $60.

Authorities responded Jan. 4 for a crash involving a car and a school bus at Military and Wild Canyon roads. The bus, which had 11 student passengers aboard, was driven by a Woodbury man, while the car was driven by a Minneapolis man. There were no injuries.

Police were called Jan. 5 to Super America, 1551 Woodlane Drive, for a disturbance. A man at a gas pump was heard yelling at someone on his phone, making other customers uncomfortable. Officers made contact with the man, a Woodbury resident, who was having an argument with his daughter’s mother. The man said everything was fine and that he was leaving.

A Hudson man reported Jan. 5 that his vehicle, parked in the 2400 block of Eagle Trace Lane, was damaged. He discovered one tire had been slashed and the paint had been scratched, likely with a key. The man suspected the damage was inflicted by a relative with whom he had been feuding.
