Woodbury Villa’s Grinch will be on stage Thursday as local seniors plan to perform their very own version of the Christmas classic.

Instead of just going with “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” Woodbury Senior Living’s Villa residents put their own twist on the script and named it “The Villa Grinch.”

Kristina Dickhausen, activities director, picked the songs and wrote the short musical for the residents to perform.

She talked about how she picked the cast.

“The Grinches were easier because they all have motorized scooters,” she said.

The cast practiced the musical last Wednesday before their final performance at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 that will be held in the skyway.

Woodbury Senior Living performed a Christmas musical, “The Villa Scrooge,” for the first time last year marking an annual tradition.

“It’s a short performance,” Dickhausen said. “We tried not to go overboard with it but the residents really enjoy it.”
