Rising Stars gymnast Rott heading to Auburn

Mary Jane Rott made it official.

Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and teammates at Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy, Rott signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Division 1 Auburn University in Alabama.

For the last 10 years, St. Croix Prep senior Rott has trained at Oakdale-based Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy with coaches Pavel and Elena Miliguolo of Woodbury. Rott has leveraged a powerful combination of athleticism and competitiveness to qualify an eye-opening five-times to the JO National Championships where she finished 12th in the All-Around in both 2011 and 2012.

“Mary Jane Rott came from tremendously successful club program and is very accomplished on the national stage,” Auburn gymnastics head coach Jeff Graba said. “Mary Jane is a tremendous all-around gymnast, but I think her power and her fun-loving personality shows through in her floor routine. Her flair on the floor really gives you a glimpse inside this dynamo of a gymnast. We expect Mary Jane to contribute to our team immediately next season and we believe she will be immediate crowd favorite for the Auburn family.”
