11:45 p.m. update: Kent moves ahead of Lillie

Democratic challenger Susan Kent opened up a lead over Sen. Ted Lillie with nearly half of Senate District 53 precincts reporting.

Democratic challenger Susan Kent opened up a lead over Republican Sen. Ted Lillie with nearly half of Senate District 53 precincts reporting.

Kent, of Woodbury, led 9,344 to 8,693 with 11 of 24 precincts reporting to the secretary of state's office, over Lillie -- also of Woodbury.

Precincts left to report included eight from Woodbury.
