Letter to the editor: ’Thoughtful’ Kent understands education

I’ve known Susan Kent since my now seventh grade child entered school, as we worked together to form a new parent teacher organization.

Having observed Susan in a variety of situations, she consistently demonstrates the ability to listen and find common ground even in the face of opposing viewpoints. Susan analyzes issues from a strategic perspective while not losing sight of the potential impacts seemingly small decisions can make.

She has a deep understanding of education issues facing the state and believes that providing quality education for our children is important to economic prosperity for all of us. Susan is thoughtful, takes time to fully grasp issues, and is a tireless advocate for issues impacting our children and community.

I strongly urge people to vote for Susan as our next District 53 state senator.
