Woodbury fire stations to hold open houses Saturday

Want to get up-close and personal with firefighters and firefighting equipment? This is your weekend to do it.

From the city:

Woodbury's Fire Department will be hosting open houses at its four fire stations on Saturday, Oct. 13, in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week. The public will have a chance to meet local fire fighters, climb on fire trucks, try on gear and spray the fire hose, all while learning about fire safety.

Fox Run Station

1275 Woodbury Drive

9 a.m. to noon

Afton Road Station

6301 Upper Afton Road

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Radio Drive Station

2100 Radio Drive

1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thames Road Station

6975 Thames Road

3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Members of the Public Safety team also will be on hand to train participants in Hands-Only CPR as part of the Take Heart Woodbury campaign.
