AND DIVISION 3. STORMWATER MANAGMENT
SUMMARY OF WOODBURY ORDINANCE NO. 1859
Chapter 27, Environmental Management, sets the minimum requirements for stormwater management that will diminish threats to public health, safety, public and private property and natural resources of the community and meet the requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies by establishing standards. Amendments being proposed include changes to Division I, Shoreland Overlay Zone; Division III, Stormwater Management, including but not limited to, Purpose, Definitions, Stormwater Management Standards and Design Criteria, Additional Stormwater Management Standards for Valley Creek Subwatershed, and Stormwater and Urban Runoff Control. Changes are proposed to relocate shoreland standards to the zoning ordinance, eliminate definitions that are not used elsewhere in the ordinance, provide more flexibility in meeting stormwater management requirements for redevelopment projects, clarify requirements for stormwater management in areas with karst topography, and restrict or delay development when there is inadequate downstream infrastructure to handle additional flows. Numerous other changes are wording changes to clarify the intent of the existing ordinance.
