Letter to the editor: Why no response, Sen. Lillie?
I seem to know a different Ted Lillie from the highly engaged state Sen. Marisa Novak extols (letters to the editor, Sept. 20).
I seem to know a different Ted Lillie from the highly engaged state Sen. Marisa Novak extols (letters to the editor, Sept. 20). I have emailed Sen. Lillie numerous times during his term in office; not once has he seen fit to respond, not even with the usual "we have received your letter and we will consider your comments" pro-forma return email.
Rep. Andrea Kieffer, to her credit, answers all emails quickly, courteously and personally; while I disagree with her on many issues and will not vote for her this November because of her positions on those issues, I greatly appreciate her willingness to engage all of her constituents in meaningful and respectful discourse.
As for Sen. Lillie, perhaps he does not understand that as a state senator he is supposed to represent everyone in the district, not just the Republicans who voted for him.
