The Woodbury boys soccer team must go back to the drawing board in search of a win after falling last week at home to District 833 and Suburban East Conference rival Park.
Woodbury couldn’t find the back of the net in the 2-0 loss that puts the Royals’ record at 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the SEC.
“It was disappointing to lose 2-0 since I thought we played a pretty good game,” Woodbury head coach Joe Quintavalle said. “We had more time of possession than Park but couldn’t score. We had a couple of excellent chances in the first half but couldn’t put the ball in the net.”
Nick Hajovy scored both goals for the Wolfpack in the Thursday, Sept. 6, game.
“We made a couple of defensive mistakes that led to the two Park goals,” Quintavalle said.
The Royals return to the pitch this week in a Thursday, Sept. 13 home game against section foe North St. Paul. After playing just two games in two weeks, the schedule picks back up beginning Sept. 18, when the Royals play host to Forest Lake.
Woodbury travels Sept. 20 to Stillwater, before a Sept. 22 home game against Wayzata.
