Two employee contracts agreed to in District 833

A two-year contract for the 22-member District Office Support Staff was approved effective July 1 of this year and ending July 22, 2014. It calls for raises of 1.3 percent in the first year and 1.4 percent in year two with no health insurance increases and $300 a year to base salaries for employees after two years of employment and $100 a year up to a maximum of $2,000 at 20 years.
The agreement has a $250 increase to $2,500 in year one for the district match in retirement and $250 increase in the second year to $2,750.
The board also approved a two-year contract with six bus mechanics that calls for a 1.6 percent raise in the first year and two percent the second year with no changes in health insurance.
