After first week, one candidate in District 834 School Board race

As of Wednesday Aug. 8, only one candidate had thrown her name into the ring in the District 834 School Board race.
Incumbent School Board Member Kathy Buchholz filed July 31.
The filing period opened July 31.
Three District 834 School Board seats are up for election this November – Buchholz, School Board Member George Dierberger and School Board Member Mike Ptacek.
All terms are four years. Candidates have until Aug. 14 to file for candidacy. There is a cost of $2 to file.
The withdrawal period will be until 5 p.m. Aug. 16. Candidates who withdraw will not be refunded their $2.
