Woodbury will again take part in the national neighborhood gathering event, Night to Unite.
This year’s event will be Tuesday, Aug. 7.
“Block parties and other neighborhood get-togethers are a great way of connecting with your neighbors,” said Public Safety Director Lee Vague. “Woodbury Public Safety believes that effective crime prevention begins with strong neighborhood and law enforcement partnerships.”
Events – coordinated by neighborhood leaders in conjunction with city officials – include visits from Woodbury’s police and firefighters. Neighbors traditionally coordinate cookouts and games as part of the celebration.
New this year will be the addition of the Take Heart Woodbury campaign, which aims to train 7,000 people in hands-only CPR. A Take Heart Woodbury CPR float will be traveling around the city and will stop at neighborhood celebrations.
