Numerous people were ticketed Tuesday, July 24, after police busted up an underage drinking party in Woodbury.
Police responded to a loud party complaint at 11:41 p.m. at a residence in the 2700 block of Woodbury Drive. Officers could hear partygoers from the street.
After approaching the house, several juveniles were seen retreating into the house, where they turned off the lights. Police made contact with the host and homeowner and saw evidence of alcohol use through a window, according to a police report.
The report states the homeowner asked police to remove the guests from the house and apologized that his daughter’s party got out of control. The man denied knowledge of alcohol consumption, the report states.
Police ticketed 12 people for underage consumption. Six others were released on the scene. The report did not include any mention of social host ordinance violations.
